Since 1973 every state has been handcuffed in passing legislation that would protect the lives of the unborn. Now after nearly 50 years the Supreme Court of the United States has said that the individual states will decide if and when abortions will be legal. Alabama has one of the strictest laws when House Bill 314 passed in 2019 and was enacted as Roe vs. Wade was overturned Friday, June 24, 2022. Under the Human Life Protection Act, a doctor who performs a banned abortion in the state of Alabama is guilty of a Class A felony.
It is expected that a surge in requests for life-affirming help and care occur. Women will seek quick answers for their unexpected pregnancies.
It is expected that many will turn to online stores for the “abortion pill”. We as the body of Christ MUST be ready to guide and assist them to choose Life. We MUST present the good news of Christ, provide material assistance and health care.
IT IS CRITICAL THAT WE ARE ON OUR KNEES IN PRAYER- FOR OUR COUNTRY, FOR THE BABIES WHOSE LIVES ARE AT RISK AND THE WOMEN AND MEN WHO NEED HELP NOW MORE THAN EVER.
