Client Advocate Training
“Faithful is he that calls you, who also will do it”

We completed an in-depth Client Advocate Counselor Training event in February. It was a great time of sitting together at the feet of Jesus and learning from Him. The training is designed to equip women who have a calling on their lives to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and live out and share the heart of Christ from Isaiah 61:1-3.
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion— to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit;
that they may be called oaks of righteousness the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified”.
The topics included: *Medical Facts including: Pregnancy Testing, Fetal Development, Sexually Transmitted Infections, Abortion facts & procedures * Biblical Foundations for Life * Earn While You Learn program Overview * Adoption as an Option * The Abortion Determined Client * Decisions, Choices, and Options Program Overview * Evangelism * The Spiritual Life of a Client Advocate * Legal Issues * Servant Leadership * Listening Skills * Forgiven and Set Free Bible Study Overview. We had an incredible time of intimate worship, fellowship and teaching. If you are interested in know of anyone who may be interested in being a Client Advocate, please have them call the center for more information. It was an honor and joy to lead all these precious women deeper into the heart of our Father who desires for us to be equipped for the calling on our lives.

What’s happening at the Center
We deal with matters of life and death at The Pregnancy Resource Center on a daily basis. Last month we had a client come in for a pregnancy test. She was living with her boyfriend and father of her 4 month old son. She met with a Client Advocate and shared how scared she was and didn’t think she would be able to have this baby. The Client Advocate loved her by listening to her story.Everyone has a story, and every story is important! She loved her by offering the truth of Jesus Christ to her. She loved her by inviting someone in to speak with her who had walked through the difficult consequences that come with the abortion decision. That woman from the center loved her by asking deep probing questions about her condition. It was revealed she was addicted to drugs and did not want to have another addicted child born to her. This woman loved her by sharing her own story of redemption and freedom from a drug addiction. The client no longer felt “bad” “sinful”, or “alone”. This client was loved by performing an ultrasound for her and allowing her to see her baby’s heartbeat, alive and well. The client shared there was an unlikely woman who encouraged her to visit The Pregnancy Resource Center and that she actually had an appointment that very morning to get an abortion. Because of your prayers and support we were available to love her and show her life!! This is a normal occurrence at The Pregnancy Resource Center! Please continue to pray and if God asks you to give financially, please do, so that we can continue to offer the love of Christ through all these resources to every woman who comes in feeling alone and scared.

Bob’s Insights-ZERO Abortions in 2020!
I forgot how much fun it is to serve at a Pregnancy Center! Since 2009 I have traveled the United States of America and 3 foreign countries to assist and develop pregnancy centers. I have seen centers grow from a mere vision of a few believers to a full-fledged center and centers that were about to close their doors to now seeing clients every week and saving lives regularly.
On August 6, 2016 I began serving at Sav-A-Life Shelby and returned to my roots. Oh the joy of watching young women and their partners come to the Pregnancy Resource Center. They arrive with pinched, worried faces and leave smiling.
I chuckle when I read reports from Earn While You Learn Follow up classes. I lift my hands in praise when the staff and volunteers meet to earnestly pray for clients to come to the center and accept Christ.
I praise the Lord daily for you. You are the ones who pray and support your pregnancy center for Shelby County. You are the ones who care for your community.
Thank you for allowing me to have fun even after 32 years of serving in the Christian Pro Life ministry.
